Tom Edwardes takes Victory at Rnd 1!

Tom Edwardes

Tom Edwardes went of to take a demanding victory in the first round of the 2012 MDA Mini-Cross Championship, held at the Lydden Hill Circuit in kent on the 24th of March. Tom, who had being at the front of the pack all day went on to take victory after taking his joker lap off the start line, allowing him to close and overtake the pack over the following 4 laps.

The victory continues his run of victories after claiming the 2011 crown at the Knockhill circuit in Scotland last year and puts him in a demanding    position to retain the 2012 title.

On the other hand, George Edwardes suffered a disappointing 5th place finish in the British Rallycross BMW MINI class at the same event after struggling with an underpowered vehicle all day. George could not continue his run of finishing 3rd in all the heats and after some difficult driving from other drivers, ended up finishing the final in a less than deserved  5th position.

Both drivers are now looking forward to competing at the Knockhill track in Scotland on the 11th of May for Round 2 of the championship which will have the special feature of being the seasons only night race.

Photos and further information from this event will be uploaded to the site over the coming days!
